Handmade Christmas Gifts

I made some Christmas gifts for a few friends and family members, but I couldn't post about them until after Christmas because most of them read this blog.

I found the tutorial for this gathered clutch on the Sew, Mama, Sew! Handmade Holiday Master List 2010. I loved making these! After I made my first one, I started adding a few things of my own, like the wrist strap and scrappy flower.

It was my first time sewing in a zipper. It was much easier than I thought. I don't know what I was so afraid of!

Next up, I made some reversible eyeglass cases for my mom and mother-in-law using this tutorial. I quilted one side of the fabric to make them padded so they could keep them in their purses.

And I was inspired by Emily's guest post on Smile and Wave to do some creative wrapping of my handmade gifts.

Everyone loved their gifts and I loved making them. I wish I could sew and make things all day. But, there are little one's to love on, a house to keep clean, and ministry to be done. So I will just enjoy my little bits of time here and there when I can sneak in some creative fun.

Always,

Amanda
