Homemade Sewing Cards

I've been saving cereal boxes out of the recycling bin for a few weeks now to make sewing cards for my 2 year old, and we finally got around to it. They turned out really cute so I thought I'd share the idea with you.

1. Cut the front and back panels out of a cereal box.

2. Get out paints, markers, and/or crayons and let your little one create a colorful masterpiece on the plain/interior side of the box.

Buddy painted the bunnies that we sometimes see in our neighbor's yard. :)

3. After they are completely dry, cut whatever shapes you would like. I just chose basic shapes.

4. Take a regular hole punch to punch holes about 1" apart around the outside edge of each shape.

5. Take some yarn, thread it through a large blunt end needle, and secure it with a knot.

Happy sewing!

Always,

Amanda
