Bluebird of Happiness

I thought I would introduce our new little friend to you...a bluebird I made that Buddy so lovingly named "Tweet Tweet".

I knitted the bluebird following this great pattern created by Linda featured on Rhythm of the Home. I just so happened to have all the wool yarn I needed left over from other projects. And every little bluebird needs a home, so I also made a nest using this pattern on The Purl Bee. Both projects were quick and easy knits and I love how they turned out.

I found a great little finger play called "Bluebirds" in The Little Big Book for Moms. It's so simple but my boys love it!

Two little bluebirds sitting on a hill (Pretend each pointer finger is a bluebird)
One named Jack (Wiggle right pointer)
The other named Jill (Wiggle left pointer)
Fly away, Jack (Hide right pointer behind back)
Fly away, Jill (Hide left pointer behind back)
Come back, Jack (Bring right pointer back to front)
Come back, Jill (Bring left pointer back to front)

Like our little bluebird, I wish you a summer filled with happiness!

Always,

Amanda
