Today is my 31st birthday. No big post of personal goals for me today, even though I am always assessing my life, making changes and setting goals behind the scenes. It's just the type of person I am.
Today I just want to take a quick moment to share my heart.
I'm not going to lie. This past year wasn't an easy year for me. But a few months ago (after some evaluating, making changes and setting goals), I got myself back into gear and I am feeling much better. I am excited what this next year brings!
This morning, I took the boys to the playground and Buddy wanted to play restaurant. He gave me a birthday cake (piece of mulch) and I pretended to make a wish and blow out the candle. When I tried to make a wish, I truly could not think of anything to wish for because I have everything I need and have ever wanted. That is such a wonderful feeling!
So today, on my birthday, I want to thank the Father for His "birthday" gift to me...contentment.
"But godliness with contentment is great gain." 1 Timothy 6:6
